Australian Festival
Supports South Florida Events...
February 22, 2008
The Australian Festival
recently assisted the South Florida Water Management District with their Australian themed tent for the annual SFWMD picnic on
Saturday February 16, 2008 in West Palm Beach. Our Chair, Brigitte von Bulow,
provided SFWMD with flags, posters and Australian educational items to the ladies of the organizing committee and also was *on location* all day to make sure the right Australian message was passed on, a message of information and education. Hundreds of school information packets have been handed out to teachers who asked for information for their schools.
Then on Friday February 22,
2008 our Chair and CEO of the Australian Festival will be attending the
Down Under Ball, in Palm Beach, benefiting the American Lung Association. The Australian Festival has contributed to
the Down Under Ball in numerous ways with Auction items, 100 CD's, Australian flags, posters and other decoration material and sponsors. The Australian Consul General,
Amanda Hodges, based in Atlanta, is honoring the American Lung Association Ball with her attendance.
The Australian Festival is a
not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating America about the Land
Down Under. In supporting our missions the Australian Festival
participated and provided expertise, resources and promotional products to
these community events to raise Australian awareness in South
Florida.
