The Australian Festival - USA, Inc. is a not-for profit organization dedicated to educating America about the Land Down Under. We achieve this mission by producing authentically Australian educational programs and events that are presented in a festive environment to promote and enhance learning and friendship.

Our primary program is G'Day Mates which is an Australian educational event for elementary school children. Key support events include the Down Under Business Forum focusing on educating attendees about the opportunities that exist between Australia and the USA. The Australian Festival is our primary supporting event that is designed to educate and entertain American families in the areas of Australian arts & culture, immigration, tourism & travel and business & trade.

G'Day Mates Schools Day: Presented at the Australian Festival - an Australian educational program for American school children featuring four stations:

  • Parliament House: Visit with our Australian officials who introduce the land down under!

  • Dream Time Village: Learn about our indigenous aboriginals and their culture.

  • Tuckerbox Stage:  Learn Australian folk songs, poetry and stories from the Australian Bush!

  • Sports Down Under:  Learn about Australian sports such as Aussie Football and Cricket.

  • Aboriginal Arts: Introduction to Aboriginal Arts - our indigenous people.

  • Aussie Culture: Introduction to Australian culture including arts, music & sports.

The Australian Festival in Greater Fort Lauderdale - Broward County

The Australian Festival is held annually in Greater Fort Lauderdale - Broward County, Florida. Fort Lauderdale is known as the "Venice of America" due to its expansive and intricate canal system and is the capital city of Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is known for its beaches, many bars, nightclubs, and overall party atmosphere. Broward County has approximately 1,750,000 residence and is made up of 31 city municipalities governed by nine Broward County Commissioners. Fort Lauderdale is the county seat of Broward County, and forms a part of the South Florida metropolitan area. Broward County is connected to two other counties that make up South Florida - Miami-Dade (approximately 2,000,000 residents) and Palm Beach County (approximately 1,250,000 residents).
