Pines’ first city hall was located at 6700 SW 13th Street.
In 1976, city hall then moved to 10211 Taft Street. In October
1988, a modernistic building was dedicated at the Southwest
corner of Palm Avenue and Pines Boulevard.
A
natural disaster led to a huge increase in population. In
August 1992, Hurricane Andrew tore through the Homestead area
south of Miami. Many of the people with wrecked homes turned
north to the new subdivisions being built in Pembroke Pines.
This increase in population resulted in overcrowded schools
and roads. With Mayor, Alex G. Fekete in the lead, the City of
Pembroke Pines started its own charter school system, and now
has three elementary, two middle, and one high school. The
student population in these schools is over 4,600.

Pines has been true to the original desire of its pioneer
residents by creating and maintaining a desirable residential
community. Over the years, the city has grown to a population
of 146,000. |

Hot Poker Dots are a well-respected and highly established
national and international touring band from Australia formed
in 1998. Playing a unique brand of country, rocking, hillbilly
originals this four piece comprises of Ray Dee Ator –
guitar, lead vocals, Lil'O'Dette – double bass, lead vocals,
Sonny Fabulous – pedal steel guitar, lead guitar and the
thirstiest drummer in the world Mr Wes D'beers .

Biography: The Culprits is a family band that comprises Paul Killingly, former lead singer with OL’55, and his tribe of talented kids.
The band features tight 3 part harmony, rip roaring rock’n’roll piano from “the professor” Columbine (17 y.o.), the frantic fiddling of “magic fingers” Callula (13 y.o.) and some tasty lead guitar from “rock-a-day” Johnny (11y.o.).

Info: The history of Jacob's Creek begins with the settlement of South Australia. Colonel William Light who surveyed the city of Adelaide in 1836 made his way north east in 1837 to the Barossa Valley, which he named after a famous English land victory at Barrossa in the south of Spain.
When William Jacob first surveyed the Barossa Region in 1839, he and his brother John took up land in the Hundred of
Moorooroo. Moorooroo is derived from an aboriginal word meaning ‘meeting of two waters’. The two waters involved were the North Para River and creek, which fed into it. The latter was called ‘Cowieaurita’ – which took its rise in the high land around Mount Crawford – and means “yellow-brown water”, the colour produced from the iron laden soil.
The creek was later renamed Jacob’s Creek after William Jacob and the Jacob brothers' small cottages still stand, overlooking Jacob's Creek. |

Southeast Cricket League promotes the game of cricket according to it's best traditions.
This includes
supporting the development of the game of cricket in amateur status and
assisting member clubs to to coordinate their cricket activities.
Other activities including promoting the expansion of the game of
cricket and to coordinate the League's participation in inter-state and international
tournaments as well as fund raising activities necessary to achieve the aims of the League.
The Florida South East Cricket League upholds the Laws of Cricket as established by M.C.C. and adopted regulations of the League.
The Florida Southeast Cricket League have
selected four clubs to promote cricket at the 2007 Australian
Festival:

Australian Football League, the Florida Squids compete in

are becoming one of South Florida's most recognized Amateur
